KEY MATCHUP

Georgia’s offense vs. Mississippi State‘s defense. While it gave up 29 points to LSU, MSU allowed only 264 yards of offense. Turnovers and penalties helped LSU scored its points. Meanwhile, Georgia’s offense has been inconsistent at best. Partly because the offensive line has not done a good job run blocking or pass blocking.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Georgia: Wide receiver Kris Durham has tried to fill most of the void left by the suspension of A.J. Green. Durham has 13 catches for 260 yards and a touchdown through the first three games. This is the final game of Green’s four-game suspension.

Mississippi State: Quarterbacks Chris Reif and Tyler Russell have combined for 617 yards and five touchdowns.

FACTS & FIGURES

Georgia has lost two straight, but the Bulldogs never have lost three straight under coach Mark Richt. The last time a Georgia team lost three straight was a four-game losing streak to end the 1990 season. Georgia has not started 0-3 in the SEC since 1993. … After scoring 49 points in an opening-game win against Memphis, Mississippi State has scored just 21 in losses to Auburn and LSU.
