Georgia football: Bulldogs add South Alabama to 2014 schedule

Georgia has added South Alabama to the football schedule for the 2014 season, the Mobile-based school announced on Friday. South Alabama is transitioning to FBS and will join the Sun Belt Conference in 2013. It is scheduled to visit Athens on Nov. 8, 2014.

Georgia will play South Alabama a one-game guarantee of $900,000, similar to what it has agreed to pay other FBS schools, such as Buffalo and Florida Atlantic.

The Bulldogs’ other non-conference games that year include Clemson, Georgia tech and Charleston Southern.
