ATHENS, Ga. -- Georgia evened the series against Longwood with an 8-7 victory on Saturday afternoon at Foley Field.
The Dogs scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth on three straight singles, the last of which came off the bat of Mike Bell. Pinch-runner Josh Day scored. He was running for Brandon Stephens, who led the inning with a hit.
Bell finished the day, going 3-for-5 with two RBIs.
Georgia lost the opener in the series 7-3 on Friday night.
The teams will finish the series Sunday at 1 p.m.
