COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Kyle Martin and Hunter Taylor hit home runs as South Carolina avoided being swept by Georgia with an 8-5 victory on Sunday.
Georgia (18-11, 5-4 SEC) got a homer from Stephen Wrenn, one of two hits for the center-fielder.
Skyler Weber and Jared Walsh also had two hits apiece for the Dogs.
Conner Jones (0-2) took the loss in relief. Georgia tied the game at 4-4 with a pair of runs in the top of the sixth.

The Gamecocks (19-9, 5-4) took the lead back with a single run in the bottom of the inning.
Georgia will host Georgia Tech at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
