Georgia's Tyler dominates Georgia Southern in opener
ATHENS, Ga. -- Starter Robert Tyler struck out a career-high 13 in five innings to lead Georgia to a 4-1 victory over Georgia Southern on Friday at Foley Field.
Tyler faced just 17 batters as he gave up one hit and walked one.
Daniel Nichols had two hits and two RBIs. Nick King and Skyler Weber also drove in runs.
The two teams meet again at 1 p.m. Saturday.
