Wright State defeats Georgia 3-1 as pitchers dominate
ATHENS, Ga. -- Georgia fell behind 3-0 early and Wright State pitchers limited the Bulldogs to just six hits in a 3-1 loss Saturday at Foley Field.
Georgia's Trevor Kieboom (CVCC) singled in the sixth inning and scored on Michael Curry's single two batters later for the Bulldogs' lone run of the day.
Heath Holder (0-1) allowed three runs on three hits over four innings and took the loss. Blake Cairnes pitched brilliantly relief, allowing one hit over the final five innings.
Robby Sexton (1-1) allowed three hits over five scoreless innings and picked up the win.
Georgia (7-4) and Wright State (6-5) meet today at noon in the final and deciding game of the series. Georgia won the Friday night game 4-3.
