For the first time since October 17, 2015, the Jordan Red Jackets can call themselves winners.

The Red Jackets snapped their losing streak with a dramatic 22-14 victory over Brookstone on Friday. Jordan (1-0) scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, both coming courtesy quarterback Emmanuel Mann.

Play of the Game: Trailing 14-7, the Red Jackets struck gold when Mann found Terrell Barnes for a 20-yard touchdown with 7:57 left in the fourth quarter. After a block extra point was negated by a Brookstone penalty, Jordan head coach Justin Newman elected to go for two. The call worked, as Mann kept it for an easy run to the right to go up one point.

Player of the Game: Emmanuel Mann dealt with inconsistent snaps all night but turn several broken plays into gold. He delivered two passing touchdowns for Jordan, ran in the go-ahead two-point conversion and sealed the game with a two-yard score with 4:54 to go.

Other Observations

The Cougars (0-1) have a talented running back on their hands in senior Richard Hill. Hill took 14 carries for 119 yards in the first half and eventually finished with 139 yards. In what was a run-first look for Brookstone, Hill showed himself to be a reliable ball carrier.

Though Jordan had an impressive night, the Red Jackets have to look for stronger play from center going forward. The team struggled with its shotgun snaps throughout the night, leaving Mann scrambling for dear life more than once.
