Amontae Spivey played the hero for Central on Friday in a highly-contested 34-28 victory over Auburn.

Spivey went off against the Tigers in the Red Devils’ first region matchup of 2017, scoring four touchdowns. Auburn put up a fight with the No. 1 team in Class 7A, but Spivey’s 20-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter was enough to seal the deal.

Central has an unexpected week off now, as it’s game against Kathleen (Lakeland, Fla.) Friday has been canceled due to Hurricane Irma.
