GSWA releases Week 7 high school football polls
After a chaotic weekend of games, only one local team remains in the latest high school football polls by the Georgia Sports Writers Association.
Manchester held onto its No. 3 spot in the Class A rankings for the third straight week. The Blue Devils improved to 5-0 Friday after a 30-0 victory over previously undefeated Marion County, which had received one vote the week before.
Northside, which was among the other Class 4A schools receiving votes last week, completely dropped out after a 21-17 road loss to Americus-Sumter. The loss left the Patriots with a 4-1 record on the season.
Below are the GSWA polls in their entirety. Please note that the number in parentheses represents the number of first-place votes the team received, and the number to the right is the total points it received from the voters.
