Two high school rifle shooters qualify for GHSA state championship
On Wednesday, two high school rifle team members in Muscogee County officially qualified to compete in the GHSA’s state championship shoot.
Columbus High’s Jared Eddy and Northside’s Emma Harstad hit their marks Wednesday and did enough to qualify as individuals for the state event, which is held in April. Eddy led all shooters with a 292 score in Columbus’ season-opening match against Rutland, while Harstad was the top scorer with a 293 in Northside’s match against Crawford County.
Columbus defeated Rutland 1125-1012, while Northside beat Crawford County 1135-680.
