Social media reacts to local football players signing scholarships

Wednesday marked the start of the first-ever early signing period in college football. As a result, several prominent prospects in and around Columbus signed with their respective schools.

Here are some of the best reactions courtesy social media.

Central

Defensive lineman Tyler Moore signed with Kennesaw State. The Owls’ official Twitter page offered the following graphic.

Offensive lineman Jahlil Ryles signed with Middle Tennessee State. Like most teams, the Blue Raiders’ made sure to let their fans know of their latest big get.

Glenwood

Defensive lineman Kelcy Allen signed with Kennesaw State, and like with Moore, the Owls made Allen welcome courtesy a tweet.

Wide receiver Cameron O’Neil signed with Pittsburgh, and the Panthers were quick to send out an impressive highlight video of O’Neil from his time as a Gator.

Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi also welcomed O’Neil as one of his newest players. Despite misspelling “Phenix City” in the graphic, it was still a nice gesture.

Manchester

Linebacker Jontavious Ferguson signed with Georgia Southern a few days after committing to the Eagles. Props to the Eagles’ social media team for the nice graphic they put out when Ferguson made it official.

Defensive lineman Jerquavion Mahone signed with Kentucky. The Wildcats ushered him into the program with the following:
