Josiah Williams of Shaw High School is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Boys Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.
Williams, a senior, plays wing on Shaw’s basketball team. He made the winning free throws Friday against Hardaway. He averaged 12 points and 10 rebounds in two games last week.
We invited the athletics director at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a player.
Sampton received 50% of the 16,683 votes from our readers. Voting started Tuesday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results.
