TJ Smith of Pacelli is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Boys Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.
Smith, a senior guard on the basketball team, scored the 1,000th point of his career last week. He is averaging 17 points per game this season.
We invited the athletics director at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a male athlete for this poll.
Among this week’s five nominees, Smith received 53% of the 29,885 votes from our readers. Voting started Tuesday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
