Brooklyn Vann of Calvary Christian School is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Girls Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.
Vann is a sophomore forward and goalkeeper on Calvary Christian’s soccer team. She has 13 goals and 7 assists in seven games this season, including the penalty kick to clinch a victory over Sherwood Christian.
We invited the athletics director at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a female athlete for this poll.
Among this week’s four nominees, Vann received 51% of the 23,812 votes from our readers. Voting started Monday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
