Carver defensive end Mekhi Brown received an offer from the University of Alabama last Friday, adding to his already impressive list of scholarship offers.
Brown, an elite prospect for the 2015 recruiting class, already claims offers from Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Tennessee, among others.
Listed at 6-foot-6, 230 pounds on Scout.com, Brown's size is sure to attract more attention as he finishes his final two seasons with the Tigers.
This past season, he became one of the team's leading contributors on defense, particularly in a win at Peach County to clinch the region title.

Brookstone's Clark commits to Georgia Tech golf
James Clark, III, a Brookstone golfer gave a verbal commitment to golf at Georgia Tech. Clark, a junior, has garnered national attention after a strong summer on the junior circuit, during which he took first at the 2012 AJGA Junior All-Star tournament and 2012 HJGT event at North Carolina State.
Clark was heavily recruited and visited other schools, such as Oklahoma, Vanderbility, Virginia, North Carolina and Mercer.
He will begin his career at Georgia Tech in the fall of 2014.
Columbus' Furney to sign riflery scholarship with CSU
Marissa Furney, a senior riflery member at Columbus High, will sign a letter of intent with Columbus State at 2 p.m. on April 12 in the Columbus auditorium.
