The winner of the Ledger-Enquirer High School Boys Athlete of the Week poll is . . .
Logan Bryan of Northside is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Boys Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.
Bryan is a senior on Northside’s cross country team. He placed 19th out of 246 runners with a time of 17:36.69 at the Westover Invitational in Albany.
““Four-year runner, a hard worker when it comes to personal goals and achieving running times,” coach Mattie Fisher told the Ledger-Enquirer in an email.
We invited the athletics director at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a male athlete for this poll.
Among this week’s four nominees, Bryan received 47% of the 21,119 votes from our readers. That’s the same percentage as runner-up Denver Degonia, a Harris County football senior lineman, but Bryan received 43 more votes.
Voting started Monday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
