PJ Sterling of Harris County is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Boys Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.

Sterling is a junior defensive end on Harris County’s football team. He produced one forced fumble, 10 total tackles, one sack and three quarterback pressures in the Tigers’ 41-0 home win Oct. 25 over Mundy’s Mill.

We invited the athletics director at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a male athlete for this poll.

Among this week’s three nominees, Bryan received 53% of the 24,731 votes from our readers. Voting started Monday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
