Isa Stuart is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Girls Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.
Stuart is a freshman on Pacelli’s swimming team. She won first place in the 500-meter freestyle during the first high school swimming meet of her career, helping the Vikings finish first in the team standings Nov. 14, Tommy Stalnaker Aquatic Center in Warner Robins.
We invited the athletics director at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a female athlete for this poll.
Among this week’s three nominees, Stuart received 52% of the 38,465 votes from our readers. Voting started Monday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
