Grace Rogers is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Girls Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.
Rogers is a junior on Pacelli’s girls wrestling team. In the 155-pound weight class, she finished first and was the top scorer among all females in the Chattahoochee River Wrestling Association Championships from Dec. 13-14 at Temple High School. Her performance helped the Vikings finish second in the event’s team standings, earning Pacelli’s first trophy in girls wrestling. She has a 7-1 record this season.
We invited the athletics director at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a female athlete for this poll.
Among this week’s four nominees, Rogers received 66% of the 7,572 votes from our readers. Voting started Tuesday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
