Mimi Johnson is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Girls Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.

Johnson is a senior point guard on Glenwood School’s girls basketball team. She averaged 18 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals per game in the five games before she was nominated. She also shot 74% on free throws, 44% on 3-pointers and 50% on 2-pointers during that span.

We invited the athletics director at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a female athlete for this poll.

Among this week’s three nominees, Johnson received 65% of the 3,156 votes from our readers. Voting started Monday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
