Caden Clay is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Boys Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.

He is a senior center fielder on Northside High School’s baseball team. At the time of his March 10 nomination, Caden was batting .436 and slugging .718 with 12 RBI, five stolen bases, four doubles, two triples and one home, along with a 1.000 fielding percentage, this season.

We invited the athletics director at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a male athlete for this poll.

Among this week’s four nominees, Caden received 40% of the 17,786 votes from our readers. Voting started Monday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
