The winner of the Ledger-Enquirer High School Girls Athlete of the Week poll is . . .

Addison Fowler is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Girls Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.

She is a sophomore sprinter on Harris County High School’s track & field team. At the HCHS meet March 19, Addison won the 100-meter and 200-meter races and anchored the winning 4x100-meter relay, helping the Tigers finish first in the meet’s team standings.

We invited the athletics director at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a female athlete for this poll.

Among this week’s four nominees, Addison received 69% of the 7,852 votes from our readers. Voting started Monday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
