Jariell Rivera is the Ledger-Enquirer Winter Sports High School Girls Athlete of the Year, based on our online poll.
As a junior on Kendrick High School’s wrestling team, Jariell went 26-2 this season. He won the city championship and was selected first-team All-Chattahoochee Valley at 138 pounds. He also finished second place in the Cavalier Classic and third in the Smiths Station Invitational at 144 pounds.
The eight nominees are winners of the L-E’s High School Boys Athlete of the Week poll during the 2024-25 winter sports season. Online voting for this poll was open to our subscribers, who could vote as many times as they wanted, between March 28 and noon April 11.
Jariell received 73% of the 262 votes. Here are the complete final results.
