Helen Snavely strikes out 16; Brookstone goes 2-1 in Jordan tournament

Brookstone went 2-1 on the final day of the Jordan softball tournament, which was played at Northside.

The Cougars went 2-0 on Friday to win Pool 1. They won their first two games Saturday, 3-1 over Seminole County and 3-1 over Berrien County, before losing 12-5 to Baconton. Those games were played in the gold medal pool.

Helen Snavely earned wins in the first two games. She struck out 16 against Berrien. She also went 5-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI in those games.

Marty Laughbaum went 5-for-10 in the three games.
