As a junior wide receiver and defensive back on the St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School football team, John had six catches for 121 yards in his first game after ACL surgery in the Vikings’ 28-6 home win Aug. 22 against Tattnall Square.
We invited the athletics director at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a male student for this poll.
Among this week’s six nominees, John received 63% of the 13,797 votes from our readers. Voting started Monday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
