Da’Kobie Henry is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Boys Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.

As a junior running back on Hardaway High School’s football team, Da’Kobie rushed for 197 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries in the Hawks’ 32-26 overtime loss Aug. 28 to Greenville at Kinnett Stadium in Columbus.

We invited the athletics director at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a male student for this poll.

Among this week’s seven nominees, Da’Kobie received 72% of the 4,649 votes from our readers. Voting started Tuesday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
