The Ledger-Enquirer High School Girls Athlete of the Week poll winner is . . .
Shur’Kiyah “KK” Jackson is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Girls Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.
As a senior wide receiver and defensive back on the St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School flag football team, KK caught four touchdown passes in the Vikings’ 32-2 home win Oct. 30 over McIntosh. KK also succeeds in academics with a 4.02 grade-point average.
We invited the athletics director at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a female athlete for this poll.
Among this week’s three nominees, KK received 73% of the 4,444 votes from our readers. Voting started Monday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
