The Ledger-Enquirer High School Girls Athlete of the Week poll winner is . . .

Jaylah Todd is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Girls Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.

As a junior point guard on the Hardaway High School girls basketball team, Jaylah was named Most Valuable Player at the Hoops for Hunger Tip Off Classic at Forest Park on Nov. 8 in the Hawks’ 46-44 win over Woodland. She produced 13 points, five assists, five steals and four rebounds.

In Hardaway’s next game, Nov. 14 at Smiths Station, Jaylah made the winning layup for the Hawks’ 48-46 victory. She finished with 11 points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists.

Jaylah makes a positive impact “on both ends of the floor,” coach Kelly Ellison told the Ledger-Enquirer in an email.

We invited the athletics director at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a female athlete for this poll.

Among this week’s six nominees, Jaylah received 62% of the 8,913 votes from our readers. Voting started Monday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
