Holden Sanders is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.

As a junior on the St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School wrestling team, Holden notched his 100th career victory as he won the 144-pound weight class title during the Council Rock Wrestling Association tournament Saturday at Temple High School. He entered the final round with 99 career wins and secured a pin in the second period of the match to achieve the milestone.

We invited the athletics director at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate students for this poll.

Among this week’s five nominees, Holden received 73% of the 14,403 votes from our readers. Voting started Monday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
