Mikehi Williams is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Boys Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.
As a senior guard on the St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School boys basketball team, Mikehi scored 27 points on 10-of-13 shooting in the Vikings’ 88-43 win Feb. 5 over archrival Brookstone. He also contributed five rebounds, three assists and four steals.
Mikehi is verbally committed to play basketball at Cornell University.
We invited the athletic directors at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a student for this poll.
Among this week’s three nominees, Mikehi received 51% of the 27,690 votes from our readers. Voting started Monday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
