The Ledger-Enquirer High School Boys Athlete of the Week poll winner is …

Caiden Bowie is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Boys Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.

As a junior goalkeeper and captain on the Calvary Christian School boys soccer team, Caiden made key saves in a 4-2 penalty-kicks win after a 1-1 tie April 10 at Auburn. It was the third time he has been Calvary’s goalkeeper in an overtime victory.

Caiden has led his team to a 9-2 record this season, as of last week, while receiving a couple of Man of the Match awards.

While playing No. 1 doubles with a 7-0 record this season, Caiden has helped the Calvary boys tennis team to an 8-1 record, as of last week. They placed second in the region tournament to qualify for the state tournament

Caiden was inducted into the National Honor Society last week..

We invited the athletic directors at each public and private high school from Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a student for this poll.

Among this week’s four nominees, Caiden received 53% of the 35,336 votes from our readers. Voting started Monday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
