The Ledger-Enquirer High School Girls Athlete of the Week poll winner is …

Ashlee Swenson is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Girls Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.

As a sophomore on the St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School girls track & field team, Ashlee won the 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles, long jump and 200 during the GIAA Region 5-AAA meet April 13 at Brookstone.

We invited the athletic directors at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate an athlete for the poll.

Among this week’s four nominees, Ashlee received 51% of the 18,980 votes from our readers. Voting started Monday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
