Cam Tyus is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Boys Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.

As a senior wingback and captain on the Harris County High School boys soccer team, Cam scored the winning goal in the 3-1 win over Shaw during Senior Night on April 13. Then he made major defensive contributions in the 1-0 win April 16 at Villa Rica, HCHS athletics director Jeff Wheeless told the Ledger-Enquirer in an email.

We invited the athletic directors at each public and private high school from Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a student for this poll.

Among this week’s four nominees, Cam received 60% of the 3,343 votes from our readers. Voting started Monday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
