Sam Cudd is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Boys Spring Sports Athlete of the Year for the Columbus area, based on our online poll.
As a sophomore attacking midfielder on the St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School boys soccer team, Sam produced nine goals and four assists during the regular season.
“Sam is a leader on the field and in the classroom,” coach Alex Ghoja said in an email to the L-E. “His GPA is a 4.2381.”
The winners of each Ledger-Enquirer High School Boys Athlete of the Week poll during the 2026 spring sports season were eligible to be nominated by an official from their school.
Voting was open from May 11 to May 22. L-E readers could vote as many times as they wanted. They didn’t have to be a subscriber to vote, but subscribers could vote more often.
Among this poll’s six nominees, Sam received 77% of the 6,572 votes. Here are the complete final results:
