High school roundup: Columbus volleyball goes 3-1 against other state champions
ATLANTA -- Shardonee Hayes had 39 kills, seven blocks and five digs to lead Columbus to straight-set wins over Pace Academy, Sequoyah and North Cobb in Marist's state champions play day.
The Lady Blue Devils lost 2-1 (29-27, 25-27 and 13-15) in a tight match with Johns Creek.
Tatyana Wyatt had 22 kills, three blocks and 11 digs. Madison Fleming recorded 85 assists, six aces, eight kills and 20 digs.

COLUMBUS LOSES 4 STRAIGHT
FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. -- Columbus went 1-4 in the Whitewater Tournament, which concluded Saturday.
The Lady Blue Devils won their first game on Friday but lost later that night 11-1 to Woodland.
Saturday, Columbus lost 9-1 to Ola, 10-4 to Newnan and 8-1 to Whitewater.
