High school softball roundup: Anderson leads Harris County past Northside

Carson Anderson went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs to lead Harris County to a 6-4 victory over Northside in a Region 1-AAAAA game on Thursday.

The win moved Harris County, 3-0 in the region, into a first-place tie with Columbus. Harris County hosts Shaw on Tuesday before playing at Columbus on Thursday.

Brooke Wakenigg picked up Thursday's win for the Lady Tigers. She also had a pair of hits.

Mary Horne had a double and two RBIs to lead Northside.Thursday at Northside

BUTLER, Ga. -- Katherine Snavely went 4-for-5 with two triples, a double, two runs scored and four RBIs as Brookstone routed Taylor County 13-3 on Thursday afternoon.

Helen Snavely picked up the win. She also went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs.

Haley Johnson and Taylor Roos both went 3-for-4. Johnson scored three times.

Marty Laughbaum and Nae McClain drove in two runs apiece.Thursday at Taylor County
