Northside goes 3-0, Columbus 1-2 at Allatoona softball tournament
ACWORTH, Ga. -- Northside got solid pitching and hitting throughout the lineup Saturday as they won three games in the Allatoona Tournament.
In Game 1, the Lady Patriots defeated Woodland 5-3. Allison Sievers got the complete-game victory. She allowed three runs on five hits and struck out three.
Jada Chadwick went 3-for-3 with a double and drove in a run. Mary Horne was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
In Game 2, Northside exploded for eight runs in the fourth inning and cruised to a 14-5 win over Darlington in five innings.
Sammie Cotton got the win. Hannah George homered and drove in five runs.
In Game 3, Hannah George hit a three-run homer and picked up the win on the mound as Northside defeated Campbell 15-0 in a game shortened by the mercy rule.
Gabi Apiag went 3-for-3 with a double and drove in five runs in the game.Saturday at Allatoona

COLUMBUS WINS 2 OF 3
ACWORTH, Ga. -- Columbus lost a close game, won in a rout and and lost in a rout Saturday in three games at the Allatoona tournament.
In Game 1, Allatoona scored the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to defeat Columbus 5-4. Kaleigh Sullivan went the distance and took the loss for the Lady Blue Devils. Raleigh Williams homered and drove in three runs.
In Game 2, Columbus had four players with multiple hits and routed Lambert 15-2 in a game shortened by the mercy rule.
Avery Hooper picked up the win, allowing two runs on one hit. Raleigh Williams went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs, Erin Smith and Breanna Rubio each had two hits and drove in two runs.
In Game 3, the shoe was on the other foot as North Paulding shut out Columbus 9-0.
Kaleigh Sullivan took the loss. Nicole Humphries went 2-for-2 with a double for the Lady Blue Devils.Saturday at Allatoona
