High school softball roundup: Katherine Snavley, McClain hit homers in Brookstone win

BUENA VISTA, Ga. -- Brookstone built a 6-1 lead and held off a Marion County rally for a 7-4 victory on Tuesday.

Katherine Snavely hit a home run, a triple and scored twice. Nae McClain also hit a homer.

Helen Snavely picked up the win.

Marion County scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to climb to within three, 7-4. But Snavely struck out the final two batters with the bases loaded.Tuesday at Marion County

HAMILTON, Ga. -- Emily Dansby and Abby White had three hits apiece as Harris County beat Shaw 13-0 on Tuesday afternoon.

Dansby scored three times and drove in a pair of runs. White scored twice.

LAGRANGE, Ga. -- Raleigh Sullivan went 4-for-4 with a home run and drove in seven runs Tuesday to lead Columbus to a win over LaGrange.

Kaleigh Sullivan allowed one run on three hits and struck out eight over five innings to pickup the win.

Marlisa Scott went 3-for-3 with a double, triple and an RBI for the Lady Blue Devils.

Columbus (8-6) hosts Harris County Thursday at 5 p.m.Tuesday at LaGrange, Ga.
