B.J. Knight accounts for 4 TDs, but Shaw falls to Americus-Sumter
AMERICUS, Ga. -- Americus-Sumter scored 21 points in both the first and fourth quarters and beat Shaw 65-49 on Friday night at Finklea-Robinson Stadium.
Shaw quarterback B.J. Knight accounted for four touchdowns, two on the ground and two in the air.
He threw touchdown passes to Nick Beason and R. Clark.
Beason also scored on a 3-yard run.
Americus-Sumter quarterback Mekall Yancie rushed for 161 yards and three touchdowns for the Panthers. he also passed for 140 and four touchdowns.
Shaw fell to 1-2 with the second straight loss, while Americus-Sumter improved to 1-2.
The Raiders have allowed 104 points in their two losses.
