Smothers, Carter lead Marion County to 50-12 win over Dooly County

BUENA VISTA, Ga. -- Lorenzo Smothers scored three touchdowns -- two on punt returns -- to lead Marion County to a 50-12 win over Dooly County.

Maurice Carter scored on a 3-yard run and a 70-yard interception return for the Eagles.

Smothers had 58 yards on seven carries and 115 return yards. He also had an interception and four tackles.

Mykelle Kelley had 101 yards on 13 carries for Marion County, which plays Columbus Thursday at Kinnett Stadium.
