Blackmon, Fears lead Harris County past Troup

HAMILTON, Ga. -- After trailing 6-0 after one Troup County possession, Harris County scored 35 unanswered points to put the visiting Tigers away 38-13 Friday night at Tiger Stadium.

Troup took the opening kickoff and drove 82-yards in nine plays and went ahead 6-0 on Dexter Shealey's 16-yard run.

Bubba Blackmon returned the ensuing kickoff 99 yards for a score. Jacob Crumbley's point after gave Harris County a lead at 7-6.

Troup drove to mid-field on its next possession when Shealey completed a pass to Travis Johnson. The ball was knocked loose by the Harris County defense and recovered by J.J. Hutchinson.

Harris County drove 60-yards in seven plays to take a 14-6 lead when T.J. Chiles scored from 2 yards out.

The Harris County defense stopped Troup County on a fourth-and-2 at the Harris County 33-yard line early in the second quarter.

Harris County drove 66 yards and went ahead 21-6 when Maurice Fears ran around the left end for an 8-yard score.

Harris County added one more score before intermission when Juan O'Neal ran in from the 1-yard line for a 28-6 halftime lead.

Harris County received the opening kickoff of the third quarter. Blackmon returned the kick 27 yards to the Harris County 28. Fears needed only one play to go 72 yards for the score and a 35-7 lead.

Matt Crumbley handled the kicking duties for Harris County in the second half, including a 22-yard field goal for the final score of the game.

Harris County rolled up 347 yards on the ground. Fears led the Tigers with 92 yards on 11 carries. Blackmon had 88 yards on only five carries and Chiles had 60 yards on 10 carries.

Shealey led all rushers with 113 yards rushing on 11 carries.
