High school softball roundup: Columbus, Northside, Kendrick score wins
Jordan Wells had a three-run double as part of a seven-run second inning in Northside's 10-1 victory over LaGrange on Thursday.
Jada Chadwick also had a double and two RBIs.
Sidney Mathis earned the win.
Northside improved to 6-2 in Region 1-AAAAA with the win, remaining tied with Columbus for second. Both are two games behind Harris County.Thursday at Northside

Derykah Ray hit a grand slam to lead Columbus to a 20-2 victory over Shaw on Thursday.
Ray also had an RBI single to finish with five RBIs. She scored four times.
Abby Wynn and Amanda Pate drove in three runs apiece. Hannah Morales and Marlisa Scott both drove in two runs.
Avery Hooper picked up the win.
The win gives Columbus a 6-2 record in Region 1-AAAAA.
