Kimbrough accounts for three TDs, but Jordan falls at Southwest-Macon
MACON, Ga. -- Jordan quarterback Romello Kimbrough threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, but it wasn't enough as Jordan fell 42-27 to Southwest-Macon on Thursday night.
Southwest freshman quarterback Jordan Slocum threw four touchdowns, three to his older brother Justin.
Jordan Slocum threw two touchdown passes in the first quarter for a 14-0 lead. After the second one, Jordan's D'Andre Snead returned a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown.
Slocum threw two kore TD passes in the second quarter. Sandwiched in between was a 1-yard TD run by Kimbrough.
After a scoreless third quarter, Southwest opened the fourth with a pair of running TDs.
Kimbrough hit Aaron Maxwell with a 6-yard TD pass and Leonard Hill on a 2-yarder.
Kimbrough finished the game with 178 yards passing. Kimbrough also had 89 yards rushing on 16 carries. Dontez Scott had 77 on seven carries. D'Andre Snead had three catches for 83 yards.
