High school roundup: Northside goes 2-2 in volleyball tournament
PANAMA CITY, Fla. -- Northside went 2-2 in the Panhandle Classic, losing to Moseley 25-18, 25-16, beating Rickards 25-16, 25-8, beating Bob Jones 25-19, 25-21 and losing to James Clemons 25-27, 26-24, 19-17.
The Lady Patriots finished as the runner-up in the Silver Bracket.

KENDRICK 20, RUTLAND 18
MACON, Ga. -- Kendrick's Ricky Williams scored on a 14-yard run with 1:36 left in Friday night's game at Rutland. He then added the 2-point conversion on a run to give the Cherokees a 20-18 victory.
The Cherokees (2-2, 1-1 Region 2-AAA) had rallied from a 10-0 deficit to take a 12-10 lead midway through the fourth quarter.
But Rutland's Desmond King took the ball out of the hands of the Kendrick QB before he could hand off. King rumbled 88 yards for the score. The Hurricanes (1-3, 0-2) made the 2-point conversion for an 18-12 lead.
Kayleen Bonds scored Kendrick's first touchdown with 8:59 left in the third quarter. William walker scored in the fourth quarter to give the Cherokees the 12-10 lead.
Bonds led the Cherokees with 125 yards rushing on 11 carries. Walker had 79 on 14 carries. Walter Boze had 67 on six carries. Kendrick finished the game with 306 yards rushing.CARVER 48, TROUP 10
LAGRANGE, Ga. -- Jawon Pass ran for three touchdowns and passed for another as Carver routed Troup 48-10 on Friday night.
Pass carried the ball five times for 42 yards. He completed 12-of-16 passes for 238 yards.
His TD pass -- for 30 yards -- went to Cameron Jessie. Jessie also was the leading rusher with 148 yards on 10 attempts, including a touchdown.
Jacoby Cunningham rushed for 55 yards on six carries. U.S. Beasley had 98 yards receiving and 53 rushing.
The Tigers (3-1) open Region 1-AAAAA play on Thursday against Columbus at A.J. McClung Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
