Anthony Bell scores 3 TDs as Manchester beats Bowdon
MANCHESTER, Ga. -- Anthony Bell ran for 174 yards and three touchdowns to lead Manchester to a 27-14 victory over Bowdon Friday night.
It was the Region 5-AA opener for both teams.
Bell gained his yards on 18 carries.
He scored the first touchdown on a 34-yard run with 8:34 left in the first qiarter. The PAT failed, so the Blue Devils trailed 7-6.
Manchester took the lead for good in the second quarter as Eric Brown hit Marcus Addie on a 56-yard touchdown pass with 2:38 left before halftime. Bell ran in the two-point conversion for a 14-7 lead.
Bell scored another touchdown with 2:39 left in the third quarter. This one was from 12 yards out and a 21-7 lead.
