Game times set for softball, volleyball state playoffs

Game times have been set for high school softball and volleyball state playoffs this week.

The GHSA Class AAAAA state softball tournaments begins on Wednesday. The first-round series are all best-of-three with a doubleheader on Wednesday with the if game scheduled for Thursday.

Northside, the No. 1 seed from Region 1, will host Starr's Mill at 4 p.m. Wednesday. Harris County, the No. 2 seed, will host Ola, also at 4 p.m.

Columbus, the No. 3 seed, will play at Union Grove at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

The GHSA Class AAA state volleyball tournament begins at 5 p.m. Wednesday with Kendrick at Southeast Bulloch.

The Class AAAAA state tournament begins Thursday. Columbus, the No. 1 seed from Area 1, hosts Riverwood at 5 p.m.

At 5:30 p.m., Harris County, the No. 2 seed, will host River Ridge. And at 6 p.m., Northside, the No. 3 seed, plays at Sequoyah.
