Smothers scores 4 TDs to lead Marion County to 47-8 win over Greenville

BUENA VISTA, Ga. -- Lorenzo Smothers ran for three scores and caught a touchdown pass Friday night to lead Marion County to a 47-8 win over Greenville.

Smothers had 9 carries for 185 yards. He caught six passes for 26 yards.

Mykelle Kelley had 20 carries for 148 yards for the Eagles.

Marion County (7-1, 6-0 Region 4-A) had 472 yards of total offense.

On defense, Austin Brannon recorded nine tackles and one sack. Lorenzo Ramsey had eight tackles. Matt Dennis had seven tackles and one sack.

D.J. Kelly and Maurice Carter each had an interception.
