Green, Santiago lead Calvary to 21-19 win over Community Christian
STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. -- Jacquez Green ran for two touchdowns Friday night and Calvary Christian held off a late Community Christian rally for a 21-19 win.
Community scored a touchdown with 12 seconds remaining to pull within two points, but Calvary's defense swarmed the running back and stopped the conversion try.
Community tried an on-side kick but the ball went out of bounds, and Calvary ran out the clock.
Anthony Santiago led the team with 18 carries for 73 yards. He scored a touchdown on a 1-yard run.
Kasen Andrews went 5-for-10 and 144 yards through the air. Bryce Andrews had three catches for 111 yards.
On the defensive side, Cody Russell had an interception for Calvary (8-1, 4-1 GICAA I-AA).
