High school roundup: Todd leads Central to overtime win over Carver

Central outscored Carver 12-9 in overtime and beat the Tigers 72-69 on Tuesday night.

Tre Todd led Central with 20 points, eight of which came in the overtime.

Four other Red Devils also scored in double figures: Quan Weaver with 13, Keiondre Jakes with 12 and Adrain Jackson and Tionne Williams with 10 apiece.

Lorenzo Madden led Carver with 22.

Daniel Melvin added 16 for the Tigers, who fell to 5-1.

TALBOTTON, Ga. -- The Northside rifle team defeated Central Talbotton 1154-600 Tuesday night.

Seniors Shelby Huber and Jade Gallahair broke 290 again Tuesday night with scores of 293 and 291 respectively. They have already qualified as individuals at the state level.

The Patriots improve to 3-0. The team returns to action against the other 15 Area 1 teams in the annual 1st Sgt. William Watson Tournament at Fort Benning's Pool range on Jan. 13.
