NEWNAN, Ga. -- DeMarcus Lampley scored 15 points as Central beat host Newnan 44-37 on Wednesday night. The game was part of the Newnan Holiday Classic.

The Red Devils finished the classic with a 3-0 record.

CENTRAL SIXTH

BATON ROUGE, La. -- The Central wrestling team finished sixth in the Deep South Bayou Duals on Tuesday.

There were 40 teams from Alabama, Florida, Georgia. Louisiana, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin competing in the two-day event.

Central went 3-1 and finished second in its pool behind tournament runner-up Brother Martin Catholic School.

The Red Devils then went 3-0 in their bracket.
